This is a good and important takedown of the “Vox model” of journalism (something that also includes the obnoxious FiveThirtyEight and many others) on the eve of our general election.
Much in the same way we should all read nutrition labels and select fresh foods for our kitchens, it is vital that we disavow processed information and perspectives. “Garbage in, garbage out,” as they say. There’s a lot of work to do after this election, and there are plenty of fertile sources of raw information to assist in our citizenship. Don’t forget!
