I think about this tweet often, and I return to it today. I haven’t really had time to process news reports of the mass murders in Las Vegas, but the sheer numbers are jarring — almost beyond belief.
In retrospect Sandy Hook marked the end of the US gun control debate. Once America decided killing children was bearable, it was over.
